Pastor Mary Duncan
(First Lady)
Born to Pastor Ezell and Gloria Smith on August 22, 1974 in Chicago, IL. She was baptized at an early age, as a child reared and raised in Chicago with her parents, Mary and siblings embraced the church as a distinct part of her life. The family were members of the Moving Up Missionary Baptist Church where her father was Pastor for over 18 years. She was an outgoing child and her charisma became apparent to those outside her immediate realm, when she began traveling with her singing ministry. Her performance grabbed the attention of television show agents such as Lou Rawls and the Black Negro College Fund who wanted to cast her on their Fundrasing program. Minister Mary Duncan's mother, however traveled and supported her to the uttermost. "Her mother used to make her stop playing outside to come in the house and just sit still," so that she could rehearse and work on more songs to sing, there was no time for playing even at the age of 5.
Throughout Mary's life, she attended many churches and sang the roof off, people couldnt believe the voice that she had. Mary still a teenager, she began directing the church choir & singing at church annuals and revivals, and ended up on an anticipated journey that changed the course of her life. Mary is a mother of 6 and is blessed with very talented and outgoing children. In 2008 Mary met a man who would prove to be a key figure in her transformation into a reowned Minister, Pastor Kentay Duncan (then Pastor of Anoited Word Christian Center).
In May of 2009 Mary married Pastor Kentay Duncan and despite the warnings of her loved ones; her and her husband have been walking in the will of God, furbishing and growing every since.
Mary started the Women's Ministry, Anoited Women Led By God however she always knew that God wanted her to be a preacher, "I knew God was saying that this is my destiny, but i didnt want to hear it."
In November of 2009, Mary accepted and announced her calling into the Ministry. She began ministering immediately. In December of 2009, Minister Mary Duncan spoke as a minister for the first time and was very affective in delivering the word of God.
Despite the great success she found in ministry, her fulfillment comes from one on one contact with people. "I really love people and especially women. My biggest joy is the individual contact I have with them." In fact, when she isn't being First Lady, she's just being Minister Mary Duncan uplifting the Women of God.
Those whp truly believe in God's wonders have testified that He works in mysterious ways. An example of his mystery, Mary is on fire for the Lord, and she intends to do His work until the flame is extinguished.
